About me

My working life has been varied and I've never followed a particular career path.  I started out as a Nurse, qualified, worked on a busy surgical ward and then decided I needed a change.

I re-trained, moved into office-based roles and then relocated to NZ in 1996. Despite having good admin/secretarial experience and a residency visa, I really struggled to get my first job, so if you're in a similar situation, I know how you feel - just don't give up!

 

Several contract and permanent roles later, I "fell" into recruitment, as many people do! I didn't much enjoy the sales aspect, but I loved meeting people and being able to help many of them into new jobs. I'm now combining that recruitment experience with my passion for helping people, to provide a coaching service that's professional but informal and relaxed.

Outside of work, I love walking, keeping fit and being able to get out of the city into bush, forest or hills to enjoy some peace and quiet, as well as sailing our small yacht around the beautiful Hauraki Gulf.
